As someone who has participated in many affiliate programs, I’m here to tell you that Wealthy Affiliate’s affiliate program is one of the most lucrative out there. Ebizfacts.com reports that Wealthy Affiliate pays an average of $121/referral.
As a premium member you’ll earn almost 50% commissions for every referral who joins WA premium. These are recurring monthly commissions for the lifetime of their membership.
To put this in perspective, according to nerdwallet.com, Amazon’s affiliate program (an EXTREMELY popular one due to the fact that Amazon literally sells EVERYTHING) pays anywhere from 1%-10% of the purchase price, minus shipping, handling, and taxes.

Here are my personal results from my first 2 years in Wealthy Affiliate’s affiliate program:
Participation in Wealthy Affiliate’s affiliate program is 100% voluntary.
Wealthy Affiliate is at its core an affiliate marketing training platform, teaching you how to be successful in any niche of your choosing, so by no means do you have to participate in its affiliate program.
If you’re a photography lover, for example, and have built a niche photography website, it probably wouldn’t make sense to promote an affiliate marketing training platform and mentoring community to your audience.
So in a case like that, your potential affiliate marketing earnings would come from monetizing the traffic that goes to your site, selling your photos, and/or earning commissions through third party affiliate programs, all of which WA trains you how to do.

I have much enjoyed working through the wealthy affiliate training, though I must say I have a long ways to go. You seem to have done rather well with it and really kicked off with your sales through the WA Program. Tell me, please, Did you start with the Bootcamp or the other series of classes. Which one would you recommend completing first to start earning through the WA platform?
When I jumped in back in January 2017, my initial plan was to create a website in either the travel or photography niche. But as I learned more and more about how affiliate marketing worked, I was hooked. I wanted to learn more and more and realized quickly that there had to be so many people just like me out there. At that point I decided to go into the make money online niche and help people find this training that was helping me so much. I say follow whatever you’re most interested in. Those commission results I show in the article are from my first 2 years. I worked on building my business just about every day outside of my normal work as a firefighter and paramedic. I think the key is consistency, learning a little bit every day, and focusing all your efforts on that learning. If you try to skip ahead and cut corners to hurry up and get to the commissions it’s like trying to skip through medical school to hurry up and get your own practice. It just doesn’t work that way. Great post. Wealthy Affiliates seems like a really solid platform. It’s very different from these other scammy websites out there. I swear every time I click on Youtube some guy is walking around with his phone on a selfie stick telling me how I could be making thousands of dollars in as little as a few days. They flash you a 1-2 second screen view of their iphone that shows several hundred thousand in it (probably created that screen image using Canva). The truth is they are the ones you will be making my money when I pay them and I’ll be a few hundred poorer.

I’ve heard a whole lot about wealthy affiliate as a matter of fact I’ve tried it a couple of times before but never finished but for some reason I’m always returning back to it so there’s something about it that I am very interested in and I believe that I can be very successful with.

It’s a LIFETIME cookie duration. In other words, if someone goes through your affiliate link and arrives at the enrollment page, but for whatever reason doesn’t sign up, even if they go back to 5 years later, you’ll get credit for that referral. Great question! Thank you!

I am new to Wealthy Affiliate going through my second month. I have never done affiliate marketing before. I do have a crafting business on Etsy, but there’s no way I can make enough to make much of a profit. It mainly is a hobby.

I joined Wealthy Affiliate in January 2017. Best financial decision I’ve ever made. Their affiliate program is all about referring people to the platform who are looking for affiliate marketing training that is thorough and affordable.
